Maintaining an Accessible Campus for All
IU Indianapolis is committed to maintaining inclusive and accessible environments across our campuses and eliminating discrimination against people with disabilities. Ensuring that all members of the campus community have access to our physical and online environments, coursework and instruction, programs, and university-sponsored activities is critical to our mission.
What our office does
We coordinate campus efforts to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and handle concerns brought to us by faculty, staff, students, and the IU Indianapolis community at large.
Workplace and educational accommodations are determined by campus offices with expertise in ADA (see ADA policy). We direct students, faculty, and staff to the appropriate campus office and assist visitors to the Columbus, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and IU School of Medicine campuses in finding resources.
If you need help, want to report an accessibility barrier, or wish to file an appeal or complaint, you can contact us at 317-274-2306 or oieindy@iu.edu.
