The IU Indianapolis Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) is responsible for ensuring the University’s institutional equity policies and procedures. We do this in a number of ways:
- Monitoring campus employment practices (both faculty and staff)
- Writing an annual equity plan
- Building partnerships across campus to help units better understand utilization and adverse impact for underrepresented individuals
- Informing search and screen committees of processes through the institutional equity lens
- Encouraging all employees to reflect on their employment through our exit interview process
